In 1885, a pamphlet titled “The Beale Papers” was published, containing three numerical ciphers and a wild tale of adventure that promised to lead the reader to a buried treasure beyond anyone’s wildest dreams, hidden somewhere in Bedford County, Virginia. But as tantalizing as a multi-million-dollar get-rich-quick scheme might be, the numbers don’t seem to add up. Was the treasure a hoax? The ciphers themselves? Did this “Thomas J. Beale”, or any of the other colorful characters described in the papers, even exist? The mystery remains to this day. In a celebration not only of Southwest Virginia’s unique history but Lynchburg’s legacy of extraordinary community theatre, a team of local writers explores the many mysteries of The Beale Treasure through this anthology of vignettes.

Finding Nemo Kids

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home.
